Build a career in biosecurity, starting now.
GEBI is a small, global nonprofit building entry pathways into biosecurity. We hire people who want to grow the field, not only work in it — and every role we open is posted on this page first.
Why work here.
We’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and the work is unusual: most of what we do is create the first real opportunity someone has to work on biological risk.
-
The mission
Turn interest into people
There is plenty of interest in biosecurity and very few ways in. Closing that gap is the whole job — for everyone we hire, whatever the role.
-
The team
Small, distributed, global
You’d work directly with the people who run the programs, alongside chapter leads, mentors and partners across regions — not through layers of management.
-
The stage
Early enough to shape it
We’re still writing the systems, the materials and the way we work. Whoever takes a role here gets to decide how it is done, not inherit it.
Open roles.
We’re hiring for one role right now.
The Key Note Speaker role is open: a voluntary, temporary speaking commitment for people who have finished a course like the BlueDot Impact Biosecurity course. Everything else is still ahead — the areas we expect to hire into next are listed alongside this panel. We’re always glad to hear from people who want to do this work, so send a note and it will be read when the next role opens.
